HOW WE MAKE IT HAPPEN

Our City Thoughts is a nonprofit organization aimed to help young people navigate and redefine their city through storytelling and digital media. We seek to empower young people to shine light on the innovations and challenges taking place in their communities, to create a new city narrative. In partnership with private and public organizations, we provide the tools to analyze, grasp, and share empowering stories. We focus on igniting meaningful dialogue on urban kindness, social innovation, technology and conscious economic prosperity for all.

WHY MIAMI?

- THE CITY: Cities are undergoing institutional and technological changes that are causing shifts in society. It’s time for a new narrative to be explored that redefines the city.
- YOUNG PEOPLE: Young people drive changes taking place. It’s through millennials that a city will shape its new narrative.
- EDUCATION: In order to redefine a city, young people need to know how to navigate it. We must educate the community on the people and stories that are shaping the present and future.

AUTHENTICITY

In order to create a meaningful narrative about a city, authenticity is required. When trying to grasp what is taking place in the heart of a community, we motivate young people to seek only the truly authentic stories that will help redefine their narrative. We know that within this space, real innovation, creativity, and change can happen.

ENTHUSIASM

Enthusiasm is the music of youth. We are optimists, who are aware of the challenges change requires, but view them as stepping-stones. We have encountered no better source of strength than enthusiasm.

INNOVATION

We understand technology will not solve all the pressing problems the world faces, nor the damage that the environment has suffered. However, we believe that conscious technology partnered with conscious business is a pathway to solutions that will bridge paths to a future of prosperity for the earth and people.
